Professional Experience

Present- Exhibitions and Programs Manager, Blue Star Contemporary, San Antonio, TX

Since 2014 I have served as BSC’s Exhibitions and Programs Manager.  At BSC I curate exhibitions- both solo and in collaboration with Executive Director Mary Heathcott. I am responsible for the coordination of all onsite and satellite exhibitions and programming that includes exhibiting artists. I developed, produce, and direct Open Studios, BSC’s documentary series focused on local exhibiting artists that is screened during the run of the artist’s exhibition at the museum and available anytime on BSC’s YouTube channel. I additionally conceived of BSC Creative Classrooms program, MOSAIC student gallery, and Art Education Learning, amongst other new programming, and initiated BSC’s W.A.G.E. Certification and Open Calls. Detailed list of curatorial projects available upon request.

My previous work experience includes coordinating exhibitions, managing the digital photo lab and darkroom facilities at Ohio University; teaching studio art foundations and photography courses at Ohio University and The Art Institute San Antonio; archives work and collections research and writing with the Linda Pace Foundation, and mentoring refugee children, foster children, and underserved youth with Borderland Collective and Kids on Campus.
